BioForm Medical, Inc. is a medical aesthetics company focused on developing and commercializing products that are used by physicians to enhance a patient's appearance. Our core product is Radiesse® dermal filler, an injectable dermal filler designed to provide long-lasting, cost-effective and safe aesthetic improvement for patients. Our clinical studies have demonstrated that RADIESSE dermal filler provides meaningful initial aesthetic correction and approximately 12 months' duration of aesthetic improvement in many patients, resulting in high patient satisfaction.
Physicians have used RADIESSE dermal filler for more than five years, and, we have shipped over 500,000 syringes worldwide. Our strategy is to become a worldwide leader in medical aesthetics by building on our success with RADIESSE dermal filler, gaining a market leading position in dermal fillers, enhancing the strength of our sales and marketing organizations in the United States and Europe and commercializing new products beyond dermal fillers that enhance the practice of medical aesthetics. To expand our portfolio in medical aesthetics, we have obtained licenses to two products, Aethoxysklerol® sclerosing agent, a drug product which is currently in a Phase III trial for the treatment of spider and reticular veins, and BioGlue® Surgical Adhesive, a Class III medical device in clinical testing for tissue fixation in browplasty, or forehead lift.
